In late 2000, the Arvada Center for the Arts asked Richard Kimball to participate in "XXV: 25 Years of Colorado Master Crafts." The exhibition ran from December 7 to January 28, 2001 and featured the work of Colorado craftsmen who have been working in the state for 25 years and have become recognized as among the best in their fielod. Kathy Andrews, the Gallery/Museum Director for the Arvada Center, said "The exhibition is meant to honor great Colorado artists, to draw attention to those who have made a tremendous commitment to their art and to Colorado."
